Hello ocean lovers
Since I can think about it I was always obsessed with the ocean and its marine life. My grandmother taught me early how to swim and my grandfather was a scuba diver as well who shared his passion with me. No wonder that my biggest dream was always to become a Scuba Dive Instructor.
In 2005, after I finished my school and education, I flew to the Dominican Republic to become finally a scuba diver. From that moment on everything changed and all I have ever wanted was diving, diving, diving.
It took me more than 10 years, where I was diving all over the world as an advanced diver, until I found my courage doing what I love most – teaching scuba diving. It was on this magical Island Koh Tao in Thailand where I found my happiness and got encouraged from a dear friend, who is also a passionate scuba dive instructor, to listen to my heart and become a dive professional.
In 2015 I moved to Koh Tao and became a Divemaster. I felt straight that this is the right profession for me and I was graving to teach by myself and not only assist others.
In 2016 I quit my job, gave up my flat, packed my backpack and moved to Australia. In Cairns I started working on a liveaboard as a Divemaster, did my Dive Instructor Training there with Divers Den and started working for them as a Scuba Dive Instructor. After a few months I continued my travel journey to the west coast of Australia. I fell in love in this tiny city called Exmouth and started working there a a Whale Shark Guide and Scuba Dive Instructor.
In 2017 I got a job opportunity to manage a dive center on Komodo in Indonesia. So I packed my bags and moved there to make another dream come true. Indonesia won my heart within no time and I felt straight home there. The people, the ocean, the marine life, the food, the nature – everything is just magical there and I am forever grateful that I got the opportunity to life and work there. I made lifelong friends, insane dive experiences and left a part of my heart forever there. Terima Kasih Labuan Bajo!
In 2019 the ocean was calling me to Costa Rica. Even if I was happier than never before in my life in Indonesia, the calling was so strong, that I could not longer ignore it and knew it was time for me to leave home again towards the unknown. Within 24 hours I found a job, a house and made friends. The diving was spectacular and I was surprised what the Pacific Ocean has to offer.
I felt the desire to travel further and got a job opportunity on Cayman Islands. My dream was always not just to dive and work on boats, I also wanted to learn how to drive the boats. So I got the chance to do my motorboat license and how to work as a boat captain. I have learned many lessons on this Island and when Corona hit us I was ready to leave this place.
In 2020 when the whole world was upside down, I made the best out of it, focused on myself, my desires, my passions and learned how to slow down. I moved back to Europe and started working in the mountains of Switzerland in Davos in the ski area. I am not just obsessed with the oceans, also with the mountains. But I have missed the water and its energy a lot.
In 2022 I got a job working as a deckhand on the ships at Lake Constance. As my partner is from there I knew that was the sign that I should move to the lake with the beautiful mountain scenery in the background.
If you wanna learn Scuba Diving, I invite you to follow your dreams!
Happy bubbles
